French for school groups
It was in 2007 that ALFMED welcomed its first group of students, straight from Colorado. For 3 weeks, about twenty students aged between 16 and 18 occupied our premises. Our staff had then established a busy program for them, French lessons, cultural visits, sports activities & meals. Since then, we have welcomed many other groups from other countries, England, Italy, Portugal, etc…
We offer all these groups an appropriate program according to their age, their level of French and their interests. We invite them to discover the must-see places in the region: Collioure, Paulilles, Céret, VilleFranche de Conflent…
During their French lessons, they will be taught topics chosen by their teachers or in line with the theme of their stay in France. We can take care of the organisation of meals, transport, visits etc…
- Capacity: 50 students / 5 bright and air-conditioned rooms
- Facilities: a beautiful building surrounded by a private garden, cafeteria open to students, unlimited Wi-Fi access
- Accommodation: 50 beds near the Academy that we manage ourselves. Several studios and 3 renovated student residences which offer a high level of comfort: equipped kitchen, bathroom, garden, TV, Wi-Fi, sheets.
- Assistance: reception and transfer on arrival, information before arrival, brochure and tourist information. We manage local transport on request.
- Accessibility: numerous connections between the international airports of Barcelona/ Girona/ Perpignan/ Carcassonne/ Montpellier and Perpignan station (train & bus)
- Teachers: experienced French teachers, graduates of FLE (French as a Foreign Language)
- Pedagogy: active learning, various teaching tools
- Cultural immersion: whatever the program they follow, students can participate in cultural outings and events with ALFMED. Every two weeks, a program is defined to help our students participate in the city’s activities
- Special programs: ALFMED can offer tailor-made sessions, for groups or professionals for example, thematic internship (historical, gastronomic, cultural circuits, etc.)
- Our goal: to ensure total immersion through various activities: tourist visits, sports outings, weekends with a French family
